Dr. Brandon C. Yarns is a geriatric psychiatrist and clinical/health services researcher at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System and UCLA. As Assistant Director for CSHIIP, he helps to facilitate the Center’s scientific scans of VA research proposals and to operationalize the Center’s strategic plan and impact goals. Dr. Yarns has received a VA Clinical Science Research Career Development Award and VA Health Systems Research Merit Review Award, and his areas of expertise include chronic pain, aging, and emotional awareness and expression therapy (EAET).
